VHA’s Specialty Referral and Emergency Center is an enormous 20,000-square foot facility offering specialty referral and emergency/critical care services, all provided by an incredible team of specialists and staff. The center houses innovative medical equipment and technology in a remarkable space where you can contribute to pioneering research and truly make an impact in the veterinary industry.

Dr. Nations has a vested interest in understanding cancer, the aging process, and other aspects of veterinary medicine, and aims to answer some of the industry’s most pressing questions. But he’s not doing this alone--his interest in extending lifespans and healthspans in pets and people inspired his decision to build a research center here on campus. This center will be a place where medical visionaries can explore and develop new protocols for improving animal and human health for the long term. We’ll be completely self-funded, and we’re extremely excited about the opportunities for groundbreaking research and discovery this facility will offer.
