MyKayla Reid-Johnson brings her positivity, enthusiasm, creativity, and leadership to Veterinary Healthcare Associates (VHA). Her career in the veterinary field began in 2020, when she started as a veterinary technician at an emergency hospital, where she got her training in emergency and general practice medicine. As she continued gaining experience MyKayla realized the areas lacking within the veterinary community seemed to always venture back within Management and Leadership. As much as she loved the hands-on experience with the pets, this is when she realized her path was much deeper and wanted to make a difference within the veterinary medicine community.
At VHA, her goal is to redefine the meaning of Leadership & educate the staff on client experience, engagement and communication. She intends to grow our staff and anyone from the outside willing to learn about veterinary medicine and opportunities available to them. MyKayla makes it a priority to implement and encourage exceptional customer service to all pet owners to make them feel seen, heard and a part of the VHA family.
She is very passionate about the veterinary medicine field and has strong goals and aspirations in terms of growing the hospital and finding better ways to escalate the care for animals & hospitality given to pet owners. She enjoys meeting our owners, getting to know them, building a relationship and loving on their pets that come in to see us. MyKayla lives with her three babies Princess, Prince and Duke (who also is Princess & Prince’s son).
When she is not working, you will find her spending time with God, traveling, shopping, reading, trying new foods, content creation, and spending time with family & friends.
