Jessica List serves as our Financial Controller here at VHA, bringing a strategic mindset and a passion for supporting both people and operations to her role. She has built her career in finance, growing into leadership with a focus on operational performance, financial clarity, and long-term sustainability. As a lifelong animal lover and pet owner, transitioning into the veterinary field felt like a natural alignment of her personal values and professional path.
Since joining us at VHA, Jessica has found the most rewarding part of her role to be the meaningful impact she can make behind the scenes. By improving financial visibility, supporting operational growth, and helping guide informed decision-making, she plays an important role in strengthening both our team and the care we provide. She values being part of an organization where her work contributes not only to business success, but to better outcomes for patients and the families who trust us.
One of the most impactful shifts in her perspective has come from witnessing firsthand the level of trust clients place in our team during some of their most emotional moments. This experience has deepened her understanding of the human side of veterinary medicine and continues to guide her approach, balancing strong financial leadership with empathy and purpose.
At home, Jessica shares her life with her three pets: Jackie, a Golden Retriever; Chloe, a Border Collie; and Amelia, a Calico cat. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending quality time with her family, all of which help her stay grounded and connected.
