Diane Boon serves as our Client Service Supervisor here at VHA, where she leads with compassion, empathy, and a genuine passion for serving others. Her journey into veterinary medicine began in human healthcare, working at the front desk of a busy emergency room. She loved the fast-paced environment and helping people through some of life’s most stressful moments. When she discovered VHA and our mission of helping people, pets, and planet become healthy, happy, and healed, she knew she had found a place where she could continue making a meaningful difference while combining her love for both people and animals.
Although Diane’s background was in human healthcare, she quickly discovered that the communication, organization, and compassion she developed translated seamlessly into veterinary medicine. Since joining us at VHA, she has grown into a leadership role where she enjoys supporting both clients and her team. “VHA has given me the opportunity to grow into a leadership role and build a career that I truly enjoy,” she shares.
The most rewarding part of Diane’s career has been making a difference for clients, their pets, and her team. She loves seeing what happens when people are empowered to provide exceptional service and work together toward a common mission. Veterinary medicine has also taught her that every client who walks through our doors has a story. “Sometimes the most important thing we can do is simply listen and let someone know they are not alone,” she says. Those moments continue to remind her that while we may not always change the outcome, we can always change someone’s experience.
Outside of work, Diane treasures spending time with her family, especially as a new grandmother. She also enjoys being outdoors, walking with her Siberian Husky, Skye, relaxing at the beach, and watching the sunrise or sunset. At home, she also shares life with Samuel, her Lynx Point Siamese, who, along with Skye, brings her endless joy.
To stay balanced, Diane prioritizes time with her family, pets, and nature. She also appreciates that here at VHA, team members are supported both personally and professionally, allowing them to care for themselves while caring for others.
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. I – 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
