Maybe you are ready for more autonomy. Maybe you want deeper collaboration. Our specialists are invited to lead, collaborate, research, teach, and help move veterinary medicine forward. Here, your expertise is supported by advanced technology, strong nursing teams, direct access to leadership, and a campus designed to help you feel energized by the work you do.
"We know that specialists want to practice autonomously, and they also want to collaborate with other experts. That’s the VHA way."
Now Hiring: Internal Medicine and Oncology Specialists
VHA’s internal medicine and oncology services are designed for specialists who want to ask better questions, explore complex disease from multiple angles, and work in a setting where advanced clinical care and research-minded thinking can meet in real time.
If you’re frustrated treating chronic disease with the same old paradigm, if you’re curious about metabolic health and the opportunities that we have in the future, let’s talk.
You trained for the complex cases: the ones that require curiosity, pattern recognition, clinical precision, and the ability to connect multiple systems at once.
VHA is seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist to expand and lead our internal medicine service. This role offers the chance to step into a well-equipped, referral-ready environment where complex cases are already here and the future of the department is yours to help shape.
You see cancer care as more than a diagnosis and treatment plan. You value precision, collaboration, quality of life, and the opportunity to think more deeply about how metabolic health can support the future of veterinary oncology.
VHA is seeking a veterinary oncologist who is drawn to a more integrative, forward-thinking model of cancer care. Our oncology service is built around advanced diagnostics, standard-of-care treatment options, metabolic health, collaboration, and a deeper look at how we can help pets with cancer live better.
Why Specialists Are Looking at VHA
Clinical Autonomy With a Seat at the Table
At VHA, specialists have room to practice at their highest level while helping shape how their service grows. This is not a role where you are expected to simply follow an existing system. You will have the ability to lead, build, refine, and influence the direction of your department.
Direct access to leadership means decisions do not get stalled in layers of corporate structure. Ideas can move through a hallway conversation, a quick meeting, or a direct discussion with people who know the medicine and care deeply about the team.
A Referral Base That Is Already Here
VHA is a locally rooted, privately owned 24/7 emergency and referral specialty center with a stand-alone general practice on the same campus. Internal referrals from GP, ER, and existing specialty services create a strong foundation for a busy internal medicine and oncology caseload.
Specialists at VHA collaborate with surgery, neurology, cardiology, anesthesia, emergency and critical care, diagnostic imaging, rehabilitation, and nursing teams who are committed to thoughtful, progressive patient care.
“For those who want more than just a job, who want purpose, impact, and a seat at the table, this is where you come.”
